Synopsis

Lake Manasarovar, an expanse of sparkling blue water sprawling over several miles and the snow-clad Mount Kailash are considered by Hindus to be the centre of the universe. The entire area is an oasis of peace and serenity and possibly the most Sacred place in the whole world to many Hindus. This book traces my journey to this remote and holy place in Tibet and documents a deeper spiritual significance of the pilgrimage. It also serves as a
practical guide to the intrepid traveller.

My Memories of this Book

We went on a pilgrimage to the holy Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar in the Tibetan Himalayas in 2001. The raw beauty and spiritual message that were evident there touched us deeply and we came back with a greater insight into life and its intricacies. A book had to follow - there was no book on the market that could have prepared us for our unique experience. This book is very dear to my heart and my husband's photographs of our journey make it more special.
